Comunicado relativo à campanha de recolha de assinaturas contra a extradição de Eneko Goieaskoetxea promovida pelos Euskal Herriaren Lagunak/Amigos do País Basco de Londres.Eneko Goieaskoetxea was arrested in Cambridge on Sunday 7/07/2011 in a joint operation with the Spanish Guardia Civil. According to a statement by the Spanish Interior Ministry, Eneko was among ETA members who planned to launch grenades at the 1997 opening of the Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao, where King Juan Carlos was due to preside.
Given the seriousness of this accusation, Eneko has become one of the top rated prisoner in the UK and it has been kept in Belmarsh prison under an extremely harsh regime since his arrests. However, there has never been any evidence to support these charges.
